Odisha Joint Entrance Examination

OJEE, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination, is the state-level entrance test through which Odisha fills seats in professional and technical courses at its colleges and universities. It is conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) under the Government of Odisha, which runs one common admission process for these programmes across the state.

The test covers both undergraduate and postgraduate entry. At the undergraduate level it feeds first-year admission to courses such as B.Pharm, Nursing and Integrated MBA, along with lateral entry into B.Tech and B.Pharm for diploma and degree holders. At the postgraduate level it is the route into MCA, MBA, M.Tech and M.Pharm. First-year B.Tech admission in Odisha runs on JEE Main ranks and MBBS on NEET, so those streams sit outside the OJEE test itself.

OJEE runs as a computer-based test, and the paper a candidate sits is set by the course applied for. After results, seats are allotted through web-based counselling covering government, government-sponsored and private professional and technical institutions across Odisha. The examination is held once a year, with a main round and a provision for a special or second round.
