Grievance Redressal
IT Act 2000 · IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2021 · DPDP Act 2023 · Last updated: 20 July 2026
Overview
If you are unhappy with something on Expertie – how we have handled your data, an error in our content, an editorial decision, or any other matter – this page tells you how to reach us and what to expect.
We run a two-tier process: internal resolution first, and, for matters under the DPDP Act, escalation to the Data Protection Board of India if our internal resolution does not satisfy you.
Grievance officer
As required under the IT Act 2000, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2021, and the DPDP Act 2023, Expertie operates a Grievance Officer function. It is reachable at the role-based inbox below. A named officer is being designated; until that appointment is published here, mail to this inbox reaches the team responsible for grievances.
Designation: Grievance Officer Email: grievance@expertie.com Address: Exeed Ventures, LLP, M-11, Shekhar Central, Palasia Square, Indore, Madhya Pradesh 452001, IN
The Grievance Officer handles complaints about personal data processing, published content, and platform conduct.
How to raise a grievance
To raise a grievance:
1. Email grievance@expertie.com with the subject line "Grievance – [brief description]" 2. Include your name, email address, and a clear description of the issue 3. Attach any supporting evidence (screenshots, page URLs, and any reference details)
For grievances about your personal data (access, correction, erasure, or withdrawal of consent), you may also email dpdp@expertie.com directly.
Resolution timelines
We work to the following timelines:
• Acknowledgement: within 48 hours of receipt • Resolution: within 15 working days for a general grievance • Data-principal requests under the DPDP Act (access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal): within 30 days
If we cannot resolve a matter within these timelines, we will tell you why and give you an expected resolution date.
Escalation
If our resolution does not satisfy you:
• For matters under the DPDP Act: you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India, established under the DPDP Act 2023. Once its intake process is operational, we will publish its details here. • For other matters: you may approach a consumer forum or a court of competent jurisdiction under Indian law. • For IT Act matters: you may escalate to the Adjudicating Officer appointed under Section 46 of the IT Act 2000.
IT Act compliance
Under Rule 3 of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, Expertie:
• Publishes its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which together set out the rules for using the platform, in English. • Does not publish or host content that falls within the prohibited categories in Rule 3(1). • Will act on a valid take-down notice for such content within the timelines the law requires.
Content accuracy complaints
If you believe a college profile, exam listing, ranking, scholarship, or other editorial content on Expertie contains an error:
1. Email editorial@expertie.com with the URL, the specific error, and the correct information with a verifiable source (an official website, a government portal, or similar) 2. Our editorial desk will acknowledge your report within 48 hours 3. Confirmed corrections are published with a correction notice at the foot of the relevant page
Content complaints are handled separately from the formal grievance process above.
