About IPU CET

IPU CET is the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test, run by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) to admit students to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. GGSIPU is an affiliating university, with more than 120 affiliated institutions that operate under its rules and regulations.

GGSIPU is a state university, set up by the Government of NCT of Delhi under the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998. It was established as Indraprastha University on 28 March 1998, and its main campus is in Sector 16, Dwarka, in Delhi.

IPU CET is an objective test of multiple-choice questions, and its structure depends on the programme applied for. The paper for BBA admission, for instance, is split into sections on English language and comprehension, general awareness, logical and analytical ability, and aptitude for management and communication. Wrong answers carry negative marking, with a mark deducted for each incorrect response.
