What we collect

Expertie is free to use and has no user accounts, so there is no login, password or profile for us to store. We collect two kinds of data:

• Contact data you choose to submit: your name, email address and phone number, when you send us an enquiry or fill in a contact form. • Usage and device data through Google Analytics 4: the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate (city-level) location, and your device and browser type. We also keep standard server logs.

Google Analytics uses your IP address only briefly to work out that approximate location, and does not store the IP address itself.

We do not collect government IDs, financial information or biometric data. Expertie does not offer counselling sessions, reviews or a Q&A forum, so this policy does not describe collecting data from them. If any of that changes, we will update this policy before we start collecting that data.

How we use it

We use the data we collect to:

• Respond to enquiries and messages you send us. • Understand how the site is used, through Google Analytics, so we can improve it. • Keep the site secure and prevent abuse. • Meet our obligations under Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

Data sharing

We share your data only in these cases:

• With Google LLC, which operates Google Analytics as our analytics processor, and with the hosting and email providers we rely on. Each is bound by data-processing terms and may act only on our instructions. • With law enforcement, if we receive a valid legal order under Indian law. • With your explicit consent, for any other purpose.

Google may process analytics data outside India, including in the United States, under its cross-border transfer safeguards, as permitted by Section 16 of the DPDP Act 2023. We do not share your personal data with colleges or advertisers.

Data retention

We keep the contact details you submit only as long as we need them to handle your request, and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. Aggregated analytics data that does not identify you may be kept longer to understand how the site is used.

You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time. See your rights below.

Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you. • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate personal data. • Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data. • Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you have given us to process your data. • Grievance: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer.

To exercise any of these rights, email dpdp@expertie.com. We will respond within 30 days, as required by law.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies set by Google Analytics 4 (for example, _ga and _ga_<id>) to measure how the site is used. We do not set advertising or ad-retargeting cookies, and because Expertie has no accounts, we set no login or session cookies. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings. Our Cookie Policy explains this in more detail.
