About SNAP
SNAP, the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, is a postgraduate management entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune. The test runs online as a computer-based test with national reach, and it screens candidates for the two-year MBA programmes offered by the university's constituent institutes.
A SNAP score admits you to Symbiosis's own management schools; it is not a common score shared across unrelated colleges. The constituent MBA institutes of Symbiosis International that select through it include SIBM Pune, SCMHRD and SIIB. Each institute holds its own final round, so a qualifying score is followed by a group exercise and personal interview run by the institute you have applied to.
The paper covers three areas: general English, analytical and logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude with data interpretation and data sufficiency. Eligibility calls for a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks, relaxed to 45 per cent for SC, ST and PwD candidates; final-year students may apply subject to the same requirement. You can sit the test up to three times in a cycle, and the highest of those scores counts for admission.
