Overview

About NCHMCT JEE

NCHM JEE, also written as NCHMCT JEE, is the national entrance test for admission to hospitality education in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) runs it on behalf of the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

A candidate's All India Rank determines admission to the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, a three-year, six-semester degree recognised by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The programme runs through NCHMCT's network of affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management, which includes Central institutes, State Government institutes, a public sector undertaking, and private colleges.

It is an undergraduate-level exam, conducted as a computer based test (CBT). The question paper is offered in both English and Hindi, and candidates choose the medium at the time of application. The exam is open to candidates who have passed, or are appearing in, the Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination with English as a subject. Seats are allotted in order of All India Rank through a centralised, web-based counselling process on a merit-cum-choice basis.
