Overview

About CHRIST Entrance Test

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) runs the CHRIST Entrance Test to screen applicants for its own undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The university is based in Bengaluru, was founded in 1969 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, and received deemed-to-be-university status from the Government of India in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It is an in-house admission test, run for CHRIST's campuses rather than shared across institutions.

Both levels admit through it. At UG, it feeds programmes such as BBA, B Com, B Tech, BA LLB (Hons) and BHM; at PG, the MBA and other courses route through the same process. UG applicants generally need a pass in Class 12 with the stream or subject requirements of the course they choose, PG applicants need a relevant bachelor's degree, and the minimum marks vary by programme. Admission spans CHRIST's campuses in Bengaluru (Central, Kengeri and Bannerghatta Road), Delhi NCR and Pune Lavasa.

The test is computer-based and forms the first stage of a multi-step selection. Candidates who clear it move to further rounds that can include a skill assessment, a micro presentation and a personal interview, and some programmes are admitted without an entrance test. The paper covers English and language ability, general knowledge and current affairs, logical and analytical reasoning, quantitative aptitude and mathematics, and data analysis and interpretation, with discipline-specific content added for particular courses.
