About BHU UET
The BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test (BHU UET) was the admission test Banaras Hindu University once ran for entry to its undergraduate programmes. It was a university-level test that BHU conducted for its own faculties and constituent units in Varanasi.
BHU no longer runs UET. From the 2022 admission cycle, undergraduate admission at BHU shifted to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and candidates are no longer assessed on a separate BHU paper. There is no BHU UET syllabus left to prepare for. Applicants now sit the CUET (UG) test in their chosen language and domain subjects, drawn broadly from the NCERT 10+2 curriculum.
Admission to BHU's undergraduate courses now rests on CUET (UG) scores. Candidates who have appeared in the NTA CUET (UG) test and meet the programme-specific 10+2 eligibility register with BHU, and seats are offered through the university's centralised Combined Allotment Program (CAP-UG).
