About ATMA
ATMA, the AIMS Test for Management Admissions, is a national entrance test for postgraduate management programmes in India. The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), a Hyderabad-based network of business schools, conducts it, and the test is recognised by the Ministry of Education and AICTE. Rather than run on a single fixed date, AIMS holds it in several sessions across the year.
Institutes use ATMA scores to admit students to management courses, among them MBA, MMS, PGDM, PGDBA and MCA. B-schools across the country accept the score, including schools such as SPJIMR and NICMAR.
The paper is a centre-based online test built from multiple-choice questions. It covers analytical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative aptitude, with each of the three areas split into two sub-sections. To sit it you need a bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline, and candidates in the final year of their degree may also apply.
