Overview

About IBSAT

IBSAT, the ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test, is a national aptitude test used for admission to postgraduate management programmes at the IBS campuses. The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) conducts it. IFHE is a deemed-to-be university based in Hyderabad, and IBS Hyderabad is one of its constituents.

A valid IBSAT score is the route into the MBA and PGPM programmes run across the nine IBS campuses: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Dehradun and Jaipur. If you already hold a valid score in another accepted management test, such as CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC or GMAT, you can apply to the IBS schools without sitting IBSAT.

You take the test online, as a remote-proctored, computer-based paper. It covers English vocabulary, grammar and verbal ability, reading comprehension, quantitative aptitude, and data interpretation with data adequacy.

Eligibility is a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks, with English as the medium of instruction at graduation. Final-year students may apply, provided they complete their degree requirements before the admission deadline.
