About MICAT
MICAT, the MICA Admission Test, is the entrance examination that MICA, Ahmedabad, uses for admission to its two-year postgraduate management programmes. It is the route into the PGDM and the PGDM-C (Communications), the two cohorts MICA selects through this test.
MICAT does not work on its own. To qualify you need a bachelor's degree from a recognised university and a valid score in CAT, XAT, or GMAT. That score sits alongside your MICAT result in MICA's final selection. MICAT itself is a computer-based test taken online.
The test runs in two windows each cycle, MICAT-I and MICAT-II. A candidate may sit for both, and the better of the two scores is carried into evaluation. The paper has three parts: a psychometric section that profiles personality traits and acts as a qualifying gate, a descriptive section built around essay and argument-based writing, and an aptitude section covering divergent-convergent reasoning, verbal ability, quantitative ability and data interpretation, and general awareness.
That mix, a qualifying psychometric gate and a descriptive writing section layered onto the aptitude paper, is what sets MICAT apart from a standard management entrance test, and it fits MICA's focus on strategic marketing and communications.

Eligibility
