Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law (LLB 3-Year and 5-Year)

MH CET Law, formally the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law, is a state-level entrance test for admission to law degree programmes at colleges across Maharashtra. It is run by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), an office of the Government of Maharashtra that conducts the state's common entrance tests. Your score feeds the centralised admission process the CET Cell runs, which allots seats at participating government, government-aided, university and private law colleges in the state.

The test covers two separate streams. One leads to the three-year LLB, open to candidates who already hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The other leads to the five-year integrated LLB, open to candidates who have passed Class 12. The CET Cell holds these as distinct examinations, so you sit the paper for the programme you are applying to.

MH CET Law is a computer-based (online) test. It assesses legal aptitude and legal reasoning, general knowledge and current affairs, logical and analytical reasoning, and English, with basic mathematics added only in the five-year paper. Minimum qualifying marks vary by category, and there is no upper age limit to sit the test.
