About IPMAT Rohtak

The IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is the entrance examination the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM Rohtak) runs for admission to its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). IIM Rohtak was set up in 2010 and has offered the IPM since 2018. The programme takes students straight after Class XII, and IPMAT is the way in.

The IPM runs across five years. If you complete the first three years you can exit with a Bachelor of Business Administration; finish all five and you receive a Master of Business Administration. Because entry sits at the school-leaving stage, IPMAT is an undergraduate-level test rather than a postgraduate one.

IPMAT is a computer-based test taken at designated centres. It carries three sections, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability, with negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates need a minimum aggregate in Class X and Class XII, with a relaxed threshold for reserved categories, and there is a maximum-age limit. A personal interview follows the test, and marks from Classes X and XII count towards the final selection.

The IPMAT score is used by IIM Rohtak alone. It is a separate exam from the IPMAT that IIM Indore conducts, and the two scores are not interchangeable.
