About WBJEE
WBJEE, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, is a state-level entrance test for admission to professional courses in West Bengal. It runs at the undergraduate level and is held once a year. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), a body under the Government of West Bengal, conducts it.
The engineering test is offline, written by hand on OMR answer sheets. It is set over two papers: one on Mathematics, and a second combining Physics and Chemistry. The syllabus follows the West Bengal higher secondary (10+2) science curriculum in those subjects.
A candidate's WBJEE rank feeds into WBJEEB's centralised counselling, which allots seats in undergraduate engineering, technology and pharmacy programmes at government and private colleges across West Bengal, including institutions such as Jadavpur University. Eligibility rests on a pass in the 10+2 science stream with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and domicile of West Bengal is generally required for government seats.

Eligibility
