About AEEE

AEEE, the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering, is the test Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham uses to admit students to its B.Tech programmes. Amrita is a deemed-to-be university, and it runs AEEE as a national-level computer-based test (CBT).

A rank in AEEE is the main route into B.Tech seats at Amrita's engineering campuses across India. Amrita also admits candidates on the strength of their JEE Main scores, so AEEE is one of two accepted routes into the same programmes.

The paper is set at higher-secondary level and covers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with English and Quantitative Aptitude added. Amrita conducts AEEE at test centres across India and offers it in two phases within an admission cycle, and a candidate need not sit both.
