Overview

About TG EAPCET (formerly TS EAMCET)

TG EAPCET, the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, is Telangana's state-level entrance test for undergraduate professional courses. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad runs it on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). Candidates sit it as a computer-based test, offered in English and Telugu.

The rank you earn opens admission to engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, veterinary and allied professional programmes at university and private colleges across the state. Seats are filled through TGCHE's centralised counselling, allotted on test rank alongside the local-area and domicile rules that govern Telangana's professional admissions.

There are two streams. Engineering rests on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Agriculture & Pharmacy rests on Biology (Botany and Zoology), Physics and Chemistry, and covers pharmacy, agriculture and veterinary courses. Both follow the Telangana Intermediate (10+2) syllabus. The exam was earlier known as TS EAMCET, and took the name TG EAPCET after Telangana moved to 'TG' as its official abbreviation.
