About KEAM
KEAM, short for the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical (and Pharmacy) Entrance Examination, is a state-level entrance test for admission to professional degree courses in Kerala. It is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), a Government of Kerala office set up in 1983 to run entrance examinations and merit-based allotment for professional courses across the state.
The examination is the gateway to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy seats in government, aided and self-financing colleges in Kerala. CEE also uses KEAM to run the centralised allotment for architecture, where ranking is drawn from NATA, and for medical and allied courses, where ranking is drawn from NEET-UG. Seats are filled through the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP), which places candidates against government and reservation rules on the basis of merit.
KEAM is held once a year as a computer-based test. For engineering admission it assesses Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics drawn from the Class 11 and 12 curriculum; the pharmacy stream is based on Physics and Chemistry. Candidates who have passed or are appearing for 10+2 are eligible, with Kerala nativity and domicile conditions applying to state-quota seats.

Eligibility
