ICAR All India Entrance Examination for Admission (Postgraduate) — AIEEA (PG)

ICAR AIEEA (PG) is the All India Entrance Examination for Admission to postgraduate programmes in agriculture and allied sciences. The National Testing Agency (NTA) runs it on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It is a national, postgraduate-level test in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. You sit a subject paper tied to the group you pick, and that group follows your bachelor's specialisation.

The exam is the entry route to Master's seats across the ICAR-Agricultural University system. That network covers State Agricultural Universities, the four ICAR Deemed-to-be Universities (IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE), Central Agricultural Universities, and Central Universities that offer agriculture and allied programmes. The subject groups span disciplines such as agronomy, horticulture, soil science, plant biotechnology, entomology, animal and dairy science, and fisheries.

To appear, you need a bachelor's degree in the relevant agriculture or allied-science discipline, meeting the minimum aggregate ICAR prescribes, with the usual relaxation for reserved categories. Admission runs through a merit list built from the exam score. Qualifiers are also considered for ICAR-PG scholarships awarded on that merit.
