About Expertie
The people behind every page
Choosing a college, exam, or scholarship is a high-stakes (YMYL) decision, so we say plainly who stands behind each page. Today that is the Expertie Editorial Team, the desk that compiles and checks our datasets. Named subject experts and independent fact-checkers are being onboarded, and their bylines will appear on the pages they take on.
How we work
Our editorial standards and sourcing policy
Every Expertie page carries an author of record. Today that is the Expertie Editorial Team, the desk that compiles and checks our datasets. We are onboarding named subject experts and independent fact-checkers; until a page carries a named contributor, we say so here rather than imply otherwise.
Before a YMYL page is published, the editorial desk runs a two-step internal check, and that review moves to named experts as they join. These standards are enforced in code, not left to good intentions. Every page template requires an author record, a named contributor cannot be published until someone attests their credentials against a primary source, and automated checks fail the build if a page invents an author, a rating, a statistic, or a data source it does not hold.
We source data only from official, primary references: the AISHE government directory, NIRF rankings, the accreditation bodies (NAAC, NBA, AICTE, AIU), conducting bodies such as the NTA and the IIMs, myScheme for scholarships, and institutional portals. Each data point carries a source chip showing where it came from and when it was last checked. Wikipedia is used as a secondary pointer only, never as a sole source.
Content is re-reviewed on a schedule set by its data type, and a "last updated" date must reflect a genuine re-check of the data, never a cosmetic timestamp.
