Integral University says two different things about its entrance test on a single page. One paragraph of its admission criteria states that the Integral University Entrance Test covers every programme except B.Arch, MBBS, MD and MS; a line further down that same page, under the heading Admission procedure, says admission in all programmes will be based on IUET-2026. Which sentence applies to you decides whether you sit the 90-minute paper the university sets or wait on a NEET rank and a state counselling round. Everything else a candidate needs here, the per-programme price, the sanctioned intake and the median salary the last graduating batch was placed at, sits in a fee table and a set of ranking submissions rather than in any brochure paragraph.

Overview

Integral University is a private university in Lucknow that was built up in stages rather than founded in one. Its prospectus traces the institution from a small school in 1993, raised to Integral Institute of Technology in 1998, and then incorporated as what it calls the state's first private minority university under Integral University Act No. 9, approved by the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly in 2004. The university's overview page names the same Act Number 9 of 2004 as the instrument that created it, which is why some listings date the institution to 2004 and others to the 1990s. Both dates are describing real events; only the second one made it a university.

The recognitions matter more than the founding date for anyone comparing this against a state university. The overview page records approval by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, alongside clearances from the National Medical Commission, the Pharmacy Council of India, the Indian Nursing Council, the Council of Architecture, the Bar Council of India, the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, the National Council for Teacher Education, the UP State Medical Faculty and the Distance Education Bureau. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Size is where the university's own numbers pull apart slightly. The prospectus describes 120+ programmes across 25 disciplines and around 13000 students on a 126-acre campus, taught in more than 100 classrooms and 30 laboratories and workshops. The data the university filed for the 2025 overall ranking counts the same body more narrowly: 3,802 students in three-year bachelor's programmes, 3,643 in four-year ones, 1,789 in two-year master's programmes and 482 full-time doctoral researchers, alongside 99 in MD, MS or DNB programmes. A prospectus figure rounded upward is normal; the filed counts are the ones to quote.

Courses & Fees

Fees here are published per programme and per year, not as one university rate. The sixteen mainstream degrees below, taken off the fee schedule for Indian applicants, run from Rs 55,000 a year for B.Com (Hons.) to Rs 1,75,000 for the industry-partnered B.Tech tracks; the medical programmes on the same sheet are priced on a different scale entirely.

ProgrammeDurationFee per annum
B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering4 yearsRs 1,60,000
B.Tech CSE with the IBM and HCLTech tracks4 yearsRs 1,75,000
B.Tech Mechanical or Civil Engineering4 yearsRs 1,45,000

BA-LLB5 yearsRs 90,000
LLB3 yearsRs 60,000
Doctor of Philosophy, any discipline3 yearsRs 70,000

Two things on that sheet need reading slowly. The evening variants of the master's programmes are cheaper and longer, so an M.Tech in civil engineering costs Rs 85,000 a year over two years in the day mode and Rs 55,000 a year over three in the evening mode, which lands within a few thousand rupees of the same total. And the medical lines sit in a different world from everything above them: the same table prints Rs 22,00,000 against MBBS in the column headed Fee (p.a), with footnotes stating that the figure is MBBS tuition fees only and that enrolment and examination fees follow university norms. The postgraduate medical seats go higher still and spread very wide on the same sheet, from Rs 6,20,000 a year for MD Biochemistry, MD Microbiology and MD Community Medicine up to Rs 46,95,000 for MD Dermatology and MD Radio-diagnosis. Medical hostel, security and miscellaneous charges are billed on top of every one of those tuition figures.

The application itself is priced separately. The admission criteria page puts the application form and prospectus fee at Rs 1000 for Indian applicants and USD 100 for foreign applicants, and adds a NIASA fee of Rs 200 and an educational tour fee of Rs 1200 for architecture students.

Admissions

The Integral University Entrance Test is the default route, and the exceptions are the part worth memorising. The admission criteria page states that the university conducts the IUET for admission to all its programmes except B.Arch, MBBS, MD and MS. Architecture applicants must instead qualify NATA, UPSEE Paper 4 or JEE Main Paper 2 and meet the Council of Architecture's eligibility norms. Every MBBS, MD and MS seat is allotted through counselling organised by the state government on NEET and NEET-PG merit, which means the university runs no separate medical entrance of its own. Nursing and pharmacy are not carved out: B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm and Pharm.D applicants sit the IUET like everyone else.

The paper is short and subject-blocked. The IUET-2026 page sets a 90-minute duration for the undergraduate papers and splits them as follows.

B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, Horticulture, B.Tech Agricultural EngineeringPhysics, 25Chemistry, 25Biology or Agriculture, 25General Studies, 25

Applications run online through the university's admission portal or on paper delivered to the Directorate of Admissions and Academics on the Kursi Road campus, both routes being listed on the IUET page. The admission overview lists what has to travel with the form, including school and graduation marksheets, a migration or transfer certificate, a character certificate, an affidavit covering any gap year, a caste certificate for OBC, SC and ST candidates, Aadhaar and a NAD identifier.

Two rules on the criteria page change the arithmetic of an application here more than any cutoff would. Half of the total seats are reserved for Muslim minority candidates and half are open to the general category, with reservation for girls, physically handicapped candidates and NRIs sitting inside those two halves rather than beside them. Separately, the university reserves the right not to admit anyone to a course at all if applications come in below 40 percent of that course's sanctioned intake, so a thinly subscribed specialisation can be withdrawn after you have applied to it. The same page also states that no consultant or outside agency has been appointed for admission, and that fees are payable only at the university accounts office against a receipt.

Cutoff

Integral University publishes no closing score or closing rank for the IUET. Its admission criteria page reserves the right not to disclose the marks a candidate obtains in any admission test, interview or aptitude test, which forecloses the usual source of a cutoff table. There is no year-on-year IUET merit list on the university's site to reconstruct one from.

For the medical seats the number exists, but it does not belong to the university. Because MBBS, MD and MS places are filled by state government counselling on NEET and NEET-PG merit, the closing rank for each round is set and published by that counselling authority once allotment is done, and it moves between rounds as candidates upgrade or withdraw. Ask the Directorate of Admissions for the previous cycle's allotment position for the specific programme you want rather than relying on any single figure quoted second hand.

Placements

Two copies of this university's 2025 ranking submission are in circulation and they do not agree about how many of its graduates found work. The figures below are the ones published by the National Institutional Ranking Framework itself where an NIRF-hosted copy exists, which is the pharmacy and engineering data; the management and overall rows survive only as files hosted on the university's own site.

The mismatch is worth knowing about before you quote any placement figure from this campus. For the pharmacy undergraduates finishing in 2023-24, the file NIRF publishes records 26 of 107 placed at a median of Rs 5,00,000, while the file the university hosts under the same title records 81 placed at Rs 5,83,000. The engineering pair diverges further and in more places: across the three graduating years both files cover, NIRF's copy records 114, 128 and 81 undergraduates placed at medians of Rs 7,50,000, Rs 5,50,000 and Rs 7,00,000, while the university's copy records 199, 297 and 236 placed at Rs 3,50,000, Rs 4,50,000 and Rs 7,00,000. In the pharmacy pair only the most recent undergraduate year differs; in the engineering pair all three do. The sanctioned intakes, the student strengths, the postgraduate placement rows and the doctoral counts match across both pairs, but the divergence is not confined to placements: the pharmacy pair reports the same eight sponsored projects at Rs 8,67,816 in NIRF's copy and Rs 39,63,416 in the university's.

That matters for two of the rows above, because NIRF hosts a copy of the engineering and pharmacy returns and none of the management or overall ones. Those two rows can therefore only be read from the university's own files, the same set whose engineering and pharmacy copies the published versions contradict. The scale of that shows in the four-year band of the overall filing, which reports 428 placements from 802 graduates. The two faculties whose returns NIRF publishes account for a modest slice of it: 81 four-year undergraduates placed in NIRF's engineering copy and 26 in its pharmacy copy, against 236 and 81 in the engineering and pharmacy files the university hosts.

Read the three-year row before you choose a B.A., B.Com or BCA here. Roughly one graduate in ten from that band was placed, and nearly twice as many went on to further study as found a job, which is the reading of 122 placements and 234 progressions against 1,175 graduates in the overall filing. The postgraduate cohorts read better wherever NIRF's own copy exists: the pharmacy return puts 31 of 33 six-year Pharm.D graduates and 27 of 35 M.Pharm graduates in jobs. The management filing reports 149 of 169 MBA graduates placed, with no NIRF-hosted counterpart to check it against.

Who does the hiring is thinner ground. The key recruitment partners page publishes the roster as a single graphic rather than a list, so there is no verifiable, current company list to reproduce. The one policy worth knowing before the season starts is on the placement cell page: Integral follows a one student one job rule, so once you accept an offer you are out of every later drive, on campus or off.

Seat Matrix

Integral publishes no consolidated seat matrix of its own, but the intake it declared to NIRF for 2023-24 covers the whole institution rather than one faculty, and it is a sourced number rather than a brochure figure.

Programme bandSanctioned intake 2023-24Sanctioned intake 2022-23
UG, three-year programmes1,1971,371
UG, four-year programmes945881
UG, five-year programmes310310
PG, one-year programmes10Not offered
PG, two-year programmes883841
PG, three-year programmes8691
PG, six-year programmes3030

Three faculties break their own share of that out. Engineering declared 490 four-year undergraduate seats and 87 two-year postgraduate seats for 2023-24, in its NIRF return; pharmacy declared 100 in its four-year undergraduate band, 36 in the two-year postgraduate band, 10 in the three-year and 30 in the six-year Pharm.D, in its own; and the MBA intake was 180, per the management filing. None of those returns carries the MBBS, MD or MS intake, because those seats belong to the university's medical college and are filled by state counselling rather than declared in a ranking submission. For those, the seat matrix the counselling authority publishes for the cycle you are applying in is the only binding number.

Rankings

Integral University holds five published NIRF 2025 positions, and only one of them is a numbered rank. Its pharmacy entry in the NIRF 2025 table is 40th, on an overall score of 54.97; what that rank is built out of is more useful to a candidate than the rank itself.

NIRF 2025 pharmacy parameterScore
Overall54.97
Teaching, Learning and Resources73.13
Research and Professional Practice42.99
Graduation Outcomes64.34
Outreach and Inclusivity65.07
Perception7.47

A teaching and resources score of 73.13 next to a perception score of 7.47 is the profile of an institution that peer academics and employers barely register despite the way it is staffed and equipped. Perception is the parameter a candidate cannot benefit from directly, but it is also the one that shapes how a degree reads on a CV outside Uttar Pradesh.

The other four positions are rank bands, which NIRF publishes alphabetically and without scores, and the highest of them is not in engineering or pharmacy at all. Integral is listed in the SDG Institutions rank band 11-50, alongside IIT Bombay, IIT Indore, Anna University and Panjab University. The university table places it further down, in the 101-150 band. Its engineering and overall entries both fall in the 151-200 band. A band tells you the institution cleared the threshold to be listed nationally and nothing about where it sits inside the band, so it is worth less than the pharmacy number but more than nothing.

Two of the six categories the university filed in for 2025, listed on its NIRF page as agriculture, engineering, management, pharmacy, SDG and overall, produced no position at all: management and agriculture show up only on the participated-institute lists for management and agriculture. The university band runs the other way, a placing NIRF gave it in a category that page does not list among its 2025 submissions at all. Its own claims about the pharmacy record also differ between documents: the prospectus says NIRF ranked it a leading institution in pharmacy from 2017 to 2023 consecutively, while the overview page extends the same claim to 2024.

Departments

Teaching is organised into faculties rather than schools, and the faculties menu carried on every page of the university site, the pharmacy department's included, names eleven of them: Agricultural Science and Technology; Architecture, Planning and Design; Engineering and Information Technology; Commerce; Education; Law; Humanities and Social Sciences; Science; Medicine and Health Sciences; Pharmacy; and Nursing. Three further units sit in the same menu without the faculty label: Integral Business School (Phase-III), the University Polytechnic and the Centre for Distance and Online Education.

The pharmacy faculty is the one behind the only numbered NIRF rank the university holds, and it is split in two. The Department of Pharmacy runs nine programmes, and the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences runs one with six laboratories. Medicine is delivered through a medical college the university owns rather than an affiliated one, with the teaching hospital described as part of it.

Facilities & Infrastructure

The campus is a single 126-acre site rather than a scatter of buildings, holding more than 100 classrooms and 30 laboratories and workshops, according to the prospectus. The Central Library was set up in 1998 and moved into its present central building in July 2008; the same document puts its collection above 100,000 books and its reading capacity at about 800 seats.

Clinical infrastructure is the unusual part for a private university of this age. An 800+ bedded hospital forming part of the medical college, staffed by more than 200 doctors, stands on the same campus, per the overview page. The hospital and the campus laboratories carry their own separate accreditations, repeated in the standing description the university prints at the foot of every page on its site: NABH for Integral Hospital, NABL for the laboratories.

Two practical details rarely make it into a listing. The academic buildings, hostels and central facilities are linked by a campus-wide wireless network running on a 2 Gbps shared connection, per the university's hostel page. And the campus sits 30 km from Lucknow airport and the railway station, a distance the placement cell quotes to visiting recruiters and one a day scholar should price into every semester of the commute.

Hostel

Rooms are priced by air conditioning and by occupancy, and the published rates cover single and triple sharing only.

Room typeFee per annum
Non-AC, single occupancyRs 1,25,000
Non-AC, triple occupancyRs 1,00,000
AC, single occupancyRs 1,75,000
AC, triple occupancyRs 1,35,000
Refundable security deposit, one timeRs 5,000

Female students in a triple sharing room get a Rs 5,000 waiver, stated on the same page. MBBS students are charged on a separate line, and the two official pages disagree on it: the hostel page prints Rs 2,50,000 a year with a Rs 1,00,000 refundable deposit, while the fee schedule prints Rs 2,60,000 for shared MBBS accommodation with the same deposit. Get the figure confirmed in the allotment letter.

Capacity is also stated twice and differently. The hostel page describes boys' and girls' hostels across 10 blocks with capacity exceeding 3500 occupants, while the prospectus puts the capacity to host students in the hostels at 2600. Hostel enquiries go to separate numbers for boys and girls, and the provost's office is named on that page.

Faculty

There is no published university-wide teaching headcount, but individual departments publish their own and the counts are specific enough to be useful. The Department of Pharmacy lists 64 teachers against nine programmes and 95 research students, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences lists 8 teachers, and a smaller science department such as physics lists 9 teachers against four programmes. Each departmental page names every teacher with an institutional email, a stated area of expertise and the subjects they teach, which is a better basis for judging a specialisation than any aggregate ratio.

Leadership is where the university's own documents fall out of step. Its public self disclosure names Prof. Waseem Akhtar as Chancellor, Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar as Pro Chancellor and Prof. Mohammed Haris Siddiqui as Registrar, each with a direct email address, and all three are confirmed on the corresponding leadership pages. The Vice-Chancellor named in that disclosure is not the current one: the Vice Chancellor's page carries Prof. Furqan Qamar as Officiating Vice Chancellor. Treat the disclosure as a directory to verify against the live pages rather than one to quote.

Notable Alumni

We could not find a verified list of notable alumni for Integral University from an official source. The alumni section the placement cell maintains publishes photographs under a prominently placed students heading rather than named profiles, and the separate alumni portal the university runs is a registration system rather than a directory. Rather than repeat names circulating on aggregator pages that no university document supports, this stays empty; the alumni office is the place to ask about graduates working in a particular sector.

Approvals & Accreditation

Statutory approvals and accreditation grades from official bodies.

official-report

The NAAC grade is current and its validity window is documented rather than asserted. The overall data the university filed for India Rankings 2025 records a valid NAAC accreditation with a CGPA of 3.40, valid from 19-05-2023 to 18-05-2028, which is the A+ grade the overview page reports the university received in May 2023.

The accreditations and approvals page lists the statutory bodies behind individual programmes: the UGC, the Pharmacy Council of India, NAAC, the National Medical Commission, the Indian Nursing Council, the Council of Architecture, the National Council for Teacher Education, the Distance Education Bureau, the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty, the Bar Council of India, the Indian Association of Physiotherapists and the Association of Indian Universities. The university separately states that its agriculture programme is accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Programme-level accreditation is missing from that page but it does exist, and it is narrow. The National Board of Accreditation's programme register carries two live Integral accreditations, both running to 30 June 2028: the undergraduate computer science and engineering degree and the postgraduate Master of Business Administration. Six older entries against the same name, covering electronics and communication, mechanical, electrical and electronics, civil, and an earlier round for computer science, ran for two or three years from dates between 2007 and 2013 and have long since lapsed. If NBA cover matters for the branch you are considering, ask that department for its current certificate in writing rather than reading the university's general recognitions as an answer.
