National Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research Guwahati

Kamrup, Assam Official site Updated
NIRF Pharmacy
#12

Of the 375 postgraduates on NIPER Guwahati's roll in its most recent ranking filing, 7 came from within Assam. The only national pharmaceutical institute serving the North East draws almost its whole intake from outside the region, through one national entrance paper, and all 118 masters seats it put into the 2026 counselling carried a monthly fellowship. There is no B.Pharm here and no self-financing masters seat either, so the money arithmetic at Changsari works differently from the other six campuses that carry the NIPER name.

Overview

NIPER Guwahati is the fifth institute brought into the Department of Pharmaceuticals group of national pharmaceutical institutes, and it started teaching in September 2008 under the mentorship of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, per the NIPER JEE 2026 Masters information brochure. The institute was inaugurated on 16 September 2008 by Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, then Union Minister for Fertilizers and Chemicals and Steel, and the foundation stone for the permanent campus at Changsari was laid on 30 May 2015 by Shri Ananth Kumar, on the institute's home page. Its standing is statutory: an autonomous body under the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, declared an Institute of National Importance, and a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities, on the about page.

Geography is the argument for the place, and the director makes it directly. Prof. USN Murty writes on his director's page that this is the only national pharma education institute for the entire North Eastern Region, set up to work on the natural and synthetic products of the region for drug discovery. That regional brief is not decoration: research here runs from drug discovery to drug delivery alongside work on the medicinal value of local plants and herbs of the North East against various diseases, per the Masters information brochure.

The intake tells a different story from the mandate. In its most recent ranking return the institute recorded 375 students in its two-year postgraduate programmes, 234 men and 141 women, of whom 7 were from within the state and 368 from outside it, in the NIRF 2026 data submission it publishes on its own site. A national entrance test with a national merit list produces a national cohort, and a candidate from Assam gets no local advantage in it.

Other ministries have quietly used this campus as a landing site, and that is the most unusual thing about it. The institute lists ten national centres, including a GMP accredited pilot scale extraction facility for herbal and phytopharmaceutical products from North East medicinal plants funded by the Department of Biotechnology, a quality assessment and value addition centre for the region's herbal industry funded by the Ministry of Commerce, a National Centre for Pharmacoengineering under the Department of Science and Technology, a Centre of Excellence in Tribal Health under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and an animal breeding and GLP accredited screening and toxicology centre under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, and it claims to be the first NIPER to have collected such centres from different ministries, in the Masters information brochure.

Courses & Fees

Nine masters disciplines admit here, under three degree names and no fourth. Four run as M.S. (Pharm.), two as M.Pharm. and three as M.Tech., and there is no M.B.A. (Pharm.) at Guwahati at all, in the NIPER JEE 2026 seat matrix for masters programmes. Two of those disciplines are near exclusive within the system: the seat availability table in the Masters information brochure shows M.Pharm. Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations) offered only here and at Mohali, and M.Pharm. Pharmacy Practice only here, at Hajipur and at Mohali.

Read the last column before the fee table, because it is the rare one. Guwahati appears with no entry at all in the without fellowship table of the Masters information brochure, so unlike several of its siblings it admits nobody to a masters seat that pays no stipend. The bill below is the common NIPER schedule, printed head by head rather than as one annual figure, and one group of heads lands differently at Changsari.

Three of those lines carry an asterisk in the original, and the footnote against them says a student who does not take hostel accommodation need not pay the hostel admission, rent and electricity heads. At this institute that escape route is closed, because the Guwahati section of the same brochure makes hostel residence mandatory for every masters and doctoral scholar and pays no house rent allowance to anyone who lives outside. Budget on the full ₹1,05,663 in the first semester and ₹57,167 after it, or ₹79,641 and ₹31,145 in the SC and ST columns where tuition is nil.

A doctoral place is priced on its own schedule, and almost the whole gap sits in one line: the laboratory head doubles to ₹22,960 a semester. That takes the first payment to ₹1,22,367 and each semester after it to ₹71,705, or ₹96,345 and ₹45,683 where tuition is waived, with thesis evaluation charged separately at submission, in the NIPER JEE 2026 Ph.D. information brochure.

One programme here is neither a masters nor a doctorate, and it is the cheapest way onto this campus. The Department of Medical Devices started a one year PG Diploma in Medical Devices in the 2025 academic year under a Department of Pharmaceuticals capacity building initiative, with 15 seats and a published bill of ₹53,142 for general and OBC candidates or ₹43,142 for SC and ST candidates across the two semesters, in its PG Diploma information brochure.

Admissions

Three different doors open onto this campus and only one of them is the masters counselling. That door is the crowded one and it is not operated from Changsari: NIPER JEE, conducted by the office at NIPER Mohali for all seven institutes, produces the one merit list that fills every masters seat here, per the NIPER JEE 2026 Masters information brochure. Guwahati is one of the 20 test cities in that cycle, on the same brochure, which is the single concession geography makes to a candidate from the region.

Two gates stand in front of the same seat and both have to be cleared. The scorecard goes in with the application; the qualifying degree is checked against originals at counselling, and falling short on either one ends the candidature whatever the entrance score says.

Every date below belongs to the 2026 cycle and to the Mohali office, which is where an applicant has to watch for the next one, because Changsari publishes none of them itself.

Applying costs ₹4,000 for general, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates and ₹2,000 for SC and ST candidates, and the paper itself is a single 150 minute test of 200 multiple choice questions scored at 0.5 a question with 0.125 taken off for a wrong one, in the Masters information brochure. Candidates still awaiting a final year result may apply if their last examination finishes by 31 July 2026, against a bonafide certificate and an undertaking on ₹100 stamp paper that the seat is surrendered if the result is not declared by 15 September 2026.

The doctoral door is really two doors, which is the thing most pages about this institute get wrong. One is NIPER JEE itself: the doctoral paper is scored 85% on the written test and 15% on an interview that has to be attended in person at NIPER Mohali, in the NIPER JEE 2026 Ph.D. information brochure, so an Assam candidate flies to Punjab for it. The other is a direct round the institute runs itself, and in that one a GPAT or GATE score counts for nothing: the admission page states outright that those examinations are not accepted as valid fellowship schemes here, and asks instead for a live CSIR-UGC JRF, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF or DST-INSPIRE award. The upper age limit is 28 years, relaxed for SC, ST, non creamy layer OBC, disabled and women candidates; applications go by email to the academics office rather than through any portal; and the last date for the round now closing was 10 May 2026, on the same page. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed online or in person.

The third door is narrower again. Foreign nationals and OCI or PIO cardholders are exempt from NIPER JEE and are admitted on academic merit through the Study in India portal after an English language interview, against 5% of sanctioned intake, on the institute's foreign admissions page. They also pay in dollars rather than on the schedule above, $2,355 for the first masters semester and $1,300 for each one after it, on the same page. That page still carries the cutoff date of its 2024-25 rolling call, so write to the academics office before treating its dates as current.

Cutoff

NIPER Guwahati was still carrying empty seats in the final round of the 2026 counselling, and that single fact is worth more to an applicant than the cutoff table nobody publishes. The counselling office releases a vacancy sheet before each phase, and the Guwahati page of those sheets is the only official record of how long the queue for a Changsari seat actually lasted.

Counselling stageGuwahati seats still vacantWhich seats
Going into phase II27, plus 5 held for candidates with disabilitiesEvery one of the nine disciplines, with 12 of the 27 reserved for SC candidates
Going into phase III5, plus 2 held for candidates with disabilities1 SC and 4 ST seats, in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology & Toxicology
Going into phase IV2, plus 2 held for candidates with disabilitiesBoth ST, one in Medicinal Chemistry and one in Pharmaceutics

Read those rows down the categories, not across the totals. Twelve of the 27 seats left after the first phase were SC and 4 were ST, in the phase II sheet; by the third phase every unreserved, OBC and EWS seat at Guwahati had gone, and what was left was one SC seat and four ST seats, in the phase III sheet. An SC or ST candidate with a modest rank had live chances at Changsari in rounds where an unreserved candidate had none.

For an unreserved candidate the reading inverts completely. That column emptied first and never refilled, so a Guwahati preference has to be converted in the earliest phase it is offered rather than held back for an upgrade. Neither the institute nor the counselling office publishes a closing rank, so the category wise cutoff tables circulating for Changsari are somebody's back-calculation from those same three sheets.

Placements

Half the placed graduates of the 2024-25 class earned less than ₹4,80,000 and half earned more, which is all a median claims and all the institute reports. Behind that figure sit 136 placements among the 212 students who finished on time, with a further 46 going on to study rather than to work, in the NIRF 2026 data submission. Nothing resembling an average or a top offer appears anywhere in the institute's own documents.

Graduating yearFinished in stipulated timePlacedMedian salaryWent to higher studies
2021-2210065₹4,50,00035
2022-2312079₹4,50,00041
2023-2414389₹4,70,00054
2024-25212136₹4,80,00046

Two lines move together across those four years and a third does not. The graduating cohort went from 100 in 2021-22 to 212 in 2024-25 and the placed count from 65 to 136, while the median moved only from ₹4,50,000 to ₹4,80,000, in the NIRF 2026 data submission and the NIRF 2025 data submission. Growth at this institute has been in seats and in offers, not in what an offer pays.

That makes one claim in the recruitment literature hard to sustain. The Masters information brochure says more than 95% of NIPER Guwahati students are placed and the rest go on to higher studies. Set that against the filing, where 136 of the 212 students who finished on time in 2024-25 were placed and 46 more went to higher studies, in the NIRF 2026 data submission, and the two do not describe the same cohort. The filing is the number a student should use.

What the institute does name is the work rather than the employers. Its own placement brochure lists the roles its recent leavers took: trainee and junior research associate, regulatory affairs, safety associate trainee, data analyst, scientific writer, associate medical writer, junior officer in formulation R&D, and trainee key account manager. Those are laboratory and documentation jobs in the main, which is what a research masters in this field buys at entry level. The recruiter section of the same document is a wall of logos rather than a list, and the institute's placement cell page publishes no recruiter roll at all, so any named list of companies for Changsari has come from somewhere other than the institute.

One department reports separately and reports better. Medical Devices claims about 90% placement across its last three years and names Stryker, Biotekortho, Innvolution, Maven Profcon and Zenith Quality Assessors among its recruiters, in its PG Diploma information brochure. Campus drives are invited between November and July through the placement coordinator, Dr. Krishna Undela, on the placement cell page.

Seat Matrix

Counselling put 118 masters seats on the table for 2026-27, and every one of them came with a fellowship attached. The category split was published discipline by discipline before allotment opened.

M.Tech. Biopharmaceuticals1271031

Five more seats with fellowship sit above that grid for candidates with benchmark disabilities, in the same matrix, and three percentage quotas apply on top of it across the whole system: 5% sponsored, 5% foreign national or OCI and PIO, and not less than 3% benchmark disability, per the Masters information brochure.

Doctoral intake is split by who funds the scholar. The 2026 round gave Guwahati 6 institute funded seats, one each in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations), Biotechnology and Medical Devices, plus 5 project funded seats of three years each, two of them in Medicinal Chemistry, in the NIPER JEE 2026 Ph.D. seat matrix.

Two other numbers get quoted as this institute's seat count and neither one ever was. Its approved postgraduate intake stood at 164 seats for 2024-25 against 217 for 2023-24, in the NIRF 2026 data submission, and those describe what the campus is permitted to hold rather than what any candidate could apply to; first year admissions in the same filing ran 120 in 2021-22 and 212 in 2023-24, so the sanction came down straight after a real expansion. Only the 118 in the seat matrix above was put in front of candidates.

Rankings

Twelfth place in the Pharmacy table of the National Institutional Ranking Framework has been this institute's address for three years running, at an overall score of 69.64 in the 2025 table. What has moved underneath that unchanging position is the part worth reading.

NIRF Pharmacy yearRankOverall score
20211955.73
20221361.36
20231266.32
20241268.82
20251269.64

The score under that rank has risen in every one of the five years, from 55.73 in the 2021 table to 69.64 in the 2025 table, while the position climbed from 19 to 12 and then stopped moving. A campus improving on its own numbers and standing still in the table is being matched by the field around it, which is the honest way to read a stalled twelfth place.

NIRF 2025 parameterScore out of 100
Teaching, Learning and Resources84.30
Research and Professional Practice57.42
Graduation Outcomes82.87
Outreach and Inclusivity59.27
Perception46.18
Overall69.64

Two parameters carried that climb and a third is holding the ceiling down. Research and Professional Practice went from 31.60 in the 2021 table to 57.42 in the 2025 table, and Teaching, Learning and Resources from 67.16 to 84.30 across the same pair of tables, the two biggest gains on the card. Perception went the other way, 54.07 in 2021 against 46.18 in 2025, the only one of the five parameters that is lower now than it was then. Reputation among recruiters and academics is the one input an institute cannot improve by filing better data, and it is the parameter a strong department far from the country's pharmaceutical manufacturing belts is likeliest to lose on. Data was also submitted to the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements for 2021, published on the ranking page.

Departments

Every one of the nine departments at Changsari took a seat in the last counselling, which is not true at the larger NIPERs. Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations), Medical Devices and Biopharmaceuticals are the nine, on the about page, and all nine appear in the counselling matrix. Three of them carry dates worth knowing: Pharmacology and Toxicology opened with the institute itself on 16 September 2008, Biotechnology has taught a masters since 2010 and a doctorate since 2014, and Medicinal Chemistry was created in 2020, on the institute's home page.

The newest of them is also the most distinctive. Medical Devices began teaching its M.Tech. in 2020 and runs an in house testing and calibration facility accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 across 20 scopes, covering equipment such as ECG machines, defibrillators and external pacemakers, in its PG Diploma information brochure. The institute's own placement brochure calls that the first NABL accredited medical devices laboratory in any NIPER, and says students test Class A and B devices and run preclinical studies inside it rather than reading about the standard. The department also works with IIT Guwahati and with the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone at Visakhapatnam, on its department page.

Two other departments hold something no sibling campus does. Biotechnology describes itself as the only NIPER with a Synthetic Biology Laboratory, on its department page. And Pharmacy Practice has been identified as a Technical Resource Centre for the Centre for Evidence for Guidelines under the Department of Health Research in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, announced on the institute's home page. For a clinical pharmacy student that second one is worth more than a ranking: national guideline evidence work happens on this campus.

Facilities & Infrastructure

The single facility that changes what a student here can attempt is a supercomputer. PARAM EMBRYO sits in the Advanced Centre for Computer-Aided Drug Design on campus with a peak performance of 312 teraflops on CPU and 1500 teraflops on GPU, and the centre trains students in drug design, machine learning, database and web server development and the prediction of drug toxicity and material properties, per the NIPER JEE 2026 Masters information brochure. Computational medicinal chemistry at that scale is rare outside the IITs.

What the rest of the money buys is on show in the institute's own placement brochure: two NMR spectrometers, LC-MS, LC-QTOF, a triple quadrupole GC-MS, ICP-MS, scanning electron microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis, an electrospinning rig and bio-printing equipment. That is a characterisation park rather than a teaching laboratory, and it is why the analysis and formulation departments here take on outside consultancy at all.

The accounts back the equipment list. Changsari put ₹9,14,23,776 into new laboratory equipment and ₹84,16,047 into the library in 2024-25, on top of the ₹27,70,51,537 equipment year of 2022-23 when the permanent campus was being fitted out, in its NIRF 2026 data submission.

Grant income took a step change in the same year, and it arrived from fewer places rather than more. Five funding agencies put ₹25,25,02,251 into nine sponsored projects in 2024-25, where six agencies had funded ten projects worth ₹1,67,49,330 the year before, in the same filing. Money multiplying roughly fifteen times on a shrinking project count means one or two very large grants landed, which fits the Centre of Excellence on phytopharmaceuticals and herbal products the Department of Pharmaceuticals awarded under its PRIP scheme, listed in the Masters information brochure.

Accessibility is the one measure here that reads the same in both recent filings: lifts or ramps and specially designed toilets in more than 80% of buildings, alongside walking aids and transport between blocks, in the NIRF 2026 data submission and identically a year earlier in the NIRF 2025 data submission. A campus built out in one recent phase has a better chance of being consistent on that than an older one. It is still a campus average, though, and which fifth of the buildings is missing has a name and a room number attached to it.

Hostel

Living on campus is a condition of admission here, not an option. The Guwahati section of the NIPER JEE 2026 Masters information brochure states that it is mandatory for all masters and Ph.D. scholars to stay in the institute hostel, that separate blocks are provided for men and women, and that a student who chooses to live off campus receives no house rent allowance. The blocks carry National Knowledge Network connectivity with dual internet providers, alongside gymnasiums and cafeterias, on the same page.

Hostel chargeMastersPh.D.
Hostel admission, one time₹3,496₹5,162
Hostel rent, each semester₹4,593₹7,654
Electricity, each semester₹5,500₹5,500

A doctoral scholar pays the heavier residential rate, ₹7,654 a semester in rent against a masters student's ₹4,593, in the Ph.D. information brochure and the Masters information brochure. Neither figure is escapable at Changsari, which is worth holding in mind when you set this bill beside a college where a local student can live at home.

Faculty

Faculty strength has flatlined while the student roll has not. Both of the last two ranking filings carry the same headcount, 37 in the NIRF 2026 data submission and 37 a year earlier in the NIRF 2025 data submission, against a postgraduate roll that climbed from 356 to 375 and a full time doctoral roll that slipped from 117 to 114. Of the 37 named in the newer filing, 33 hold a doctorate and 2 had already left by the date it was filed. The designation profile is young: 3 professors, 4 associate professors, 20 assistant professors, 2 associate deans, 7 in other teaching roles, and the director.

One number in that list should shape a question you ask. Three of the 37 faculty entries are women, and one of those three left in September 2025, in the NIRF 2026 data submission, against 141 women among the 375 postgraduates on the roll. A woman considering a research masters here should ask the department she wants who would supervise her.

Six of the faculty named in that filing appear in the Elsevier list of the world's top 2% scientists for 2024: Dr. Sanjay Banerjee, Dr. Amit Alexander, Dr. Subham Banerjee, Dr. Vikas Anand, Dr. Saurabh Kumar and Dr. Bidya Dhar Sahu. The director, Prof. USN Murty, was elected a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, both announced on the institute's home page. He has led the institute since 3 November 2016, in the NIRF 2026 data submission, and holds additional charge as Director of NIPER Kolkata, on the home page.

Notable Alumni

Not one graduate is named anywhere on this institute's website. The convocation page is a heading with nothing under it, and the only quantity on record is throughput: eight convocations held, announced on the home page, and 5 doctoral graduates in 2024-25 after 9 in 2023-24 and 13 in 2022-23, in the NIRF 2026 data submission.

There is one route to a real graduate and it is printed in a document rather than on the website. The institute runs a LinkedIn school page, given on the cover and the back page of its placement brochure. Search it by department rather than by institute, because with nine departments on one small campus the department is the unit that varies.

News & Articles

Activity here clusters around medical devices and around the region's pharmacopoeia. The institute announced a symposium on emerging trends in the development of medical devices on its campus on 4 and 5 September 2026, and a scientific conclave on Indian Pharmacopoeia 2026 covering quality, safety and innovation in drugs and phytopharmaceuticals on 27 August 2026, both on its home page.

Two admission notices were live on the same page at the end of August 2026, a personal interview cum on spot admission for the PG Diploma in Medical Devices and the direct Ph.D. round for 2026-27, alongside an open recruitment for the post of Secretary to Registrar. The incubation side of the campus advertises separately: Bio-NEST NIPER Guwahati called for a new cohort of incubatees on 12 February 2026, on the same home page, and it runs through a Section 8 company, AIC NIPER-Guwahati Foundation, backed by the Atal Innovation Mission at NITI Aayog.

College Compare

Within the North East there is effectively nothing to compare this institute against. NIPER Guwahati is the only institution from any of the eight North Eastern states inside the top 50 of the NIRF 2025 Pharmacy ranking; the next entries from the region are Dibrugarh University at rank 53 with a score of 50.91 and Assam University at Silchar at rank 76 with 44.24. A student who wants pharmacy research without leaving the region has one address.

So the live comparison is internal to the NIPER system, and it is a narrow one. Since the entrance paper and the published fee schedule are the same document for all seven institutes, a candidate is really choosing between a discipline list, a seat count and a location.

Hyderabad5210
Mohali9244

Raebareli17150
Ahmedabad21150
Kolkata29120

Two filters beat the rank column for most candidates, and both favour Changsari for some people and rule it out for others. The first is discipline: Pharmacy Practice narrowed the choice to three institutes in the last round and Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations) to two, in the Masters information brochure, so a candidate committed to either has a short preference list before the ranking table gets a say. The second is funding, and here Guwahati is one of only two campuses, with Ahmedabad, that put no unfunded masters seat into the 2026-27 grid at all, in the seat matrix. At Mohali and Raebareli an offer can arrive with no stipend attached; here it cannot.

Contact & Location

Changsari is not in Guwahati city. The permanent campus stands at Sila Katamur (Halugurisuk) in Kamrup district on the North Guwahati side, positioned between the AIIMS Guwahati and IIT Guwahati campuses, in the Masters information brochure, which is the argument the institute makes for the address: a student can reach a medical institute and a technological one without leaving the neighbourhood. Route notes from LGBI airport, Kamakhya Junction and Guwahati railway station are published on the contact page.

Send the right query to the right office, because they are not the same building. Masters admission is handled entirely by the NIPER JEE office at NIPER Mohali through the NIPER JEE 2026 portal, while the direct doctoral round, the PG diploma and foreign national admission are decided at Changsari. The institute's own contact page lists phone support as not currently available and gives only the registrar's email, so the landline above comes from the anti ragging block on its admission page.

Approvals & Accreditation

Statutory approvals and accreditation grades from official bodies.

Looking for a NAAC grade or an NBA badge on this institute is looking in the wrong register. Its authority arrives by statute rather than by assessment: the Institute of National Importance status described on the about page puts it outside the university affiliation machinery that those two bodies were built to inspect, so neither has ever assessed it and neither was going to.

The certificates that do exist at Changsari are attached to laboratories, and one of them is worth more to a specific student than any institutional grade. The Medical Devices Testing and Calibration Facility has been assessed against the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, announced on the institute's home page and set out as an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 NABL accreditation covering 20 scopes in the PG Diploma information brochure. Two of the ten national centres carry compliance marks of their own, a GMP accredited pilot scale extraction plant for herbal products and a GLP accredited biological screening and toxicology centre, in the Masters information brochure. If you intend to work in device regulation, quality assurance or regulatory toxicology, ask about those three certificates department by department.

Scholarships

Nothing here needs a scholarship form, because the fellowship is a property of the seat rather than an award anyone competes for afterwards. The rate is common across the system, ₹12,400 a month for an Indian student, conditional on academic standing, per the NIPER JEE 2026 Masters information brochure. Coverage is what differs at Changsari: since the counselling matrix carried no seat outside the fellowship column, that payment reaches the whole masters intake instead of a slice of it.

Doctoral scholars are funded differently depending on the door they came through. A candidate admitted on the institute's own direct Ph.D. route must already hold a CSIR-UGC, DBT, ICMR or DST-INSPIRE award, and the admission page states that financial support terms are governed by the awarding agency rather than by the institute.

Reservation buys less fee relief here than the roll suggests. The postgraduate roll carries 230 socially challenged and 33 economically backward students; 72 of them had tuition fully reimbursed out of institute funds, none out of state or central government funds, and 191 received nothing from any source, in the NIRF 2026 data submission. For SC and ST candidates the nil tuition column in the fee table does the real work, and it needs no application at all.

Student Reviews

No star rating for NIPER Guwahati is worth quoting. The scores that circulate for it average a handful of volunteered entries against an intake of 118 a year, and a sample that thin cannot carry a decimal point, so none is shown here.

What a department will answer that a rating never can is specific to Changsari: how many of the 114 full time doctoral scholars on the roll sit under the supervisor whose laboratory you want, whether the last two intakes in your exact discipline finished inside the two years the degree allows, and which block your department occupies, given that the institute files accessibility as a campus wide percentage.
