Stipends to Students of Economically Backward Class for Technical and Vocational Courses after SSC(SSEBCTV)
Overview
About SSEBCTV
Stipends to Students of Economically Backward Class for Technical and Vocational Courses after SSC is a state scholarship run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Government of Gujarat. Within that department it is administered by the Directorate of Developing Castes Welfare, the wing that handles education and welfare schemes for economically backward, socially and educationally backward, minority and nomadic and denotified communities in the state.
The scheme is meant for students from economically backward classes who continue into technical or vocational study after clearing the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), the Class 10 examination. The benefit is a cash stipend paid monthly for one year, intended to ease the running costs of that training and help students stay in the course.
It is an individual, cash-benefit scheme open to eligible economically backward class students in Gujarat. The department sets the qualifying conditions, the stipend amount and the documents required, and applications are handled through Gujarat's channels for backward-class welfare schemes.
