Overview

About SSNTDNTTV

This scheme gives a monthly stipend to students from Nomadic Tribes and Denotified Tribes (NT/DNT) communities who take up technical and vocational courses after passing SSC. It is run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat, through its Directorate of Developing Castes Welfare, the office that handles welfare schemes for Developing Castes and NT-DNT (Vicharati Vimukta Jati) communities in the state.

The benefit is cash. The stipend is paid every month for one year while the student is on the course. The aim is to help NT/DNT students carry on into skill-based education after the secondary stage instead of leaving for want of financial support.

It is meant for NT/DNT students in Gujarat who are enrolled in a technical or vocational course after SSC. The stipend amount and the full eligibility conditions are set by the department and published on the scheme's official listing.
