Overview

About SSBUTSC

The Subsidy Scheme on Establishment of 25 R.I.R. Bird's Unit, 100 Broiler Bird's Unit and Stipend for Poultry Farming Training is a state welfare scheme of the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Government of Gujarat. It is one of the department's livelihood measures directed at Scheduled Caste households in the state.

The scheme helps an eligible person start a small poultry unit, either 25 Rhode Island Red (R.I.R.) birds or 100 broiler birds, with part of the cost met as a cash subsidy paid to the applicant. It also provides a stipend for attending poultry farming training, so a beneficiary can learn scientific rearing before running the unit. The intent is a self-employment option that can be managed from a home backyard with limited land.

Eligibility is limited to Scheduled Caste residents of Gujarat, and the benefit reaches them as financial assistance toward the poultry unit and the training. Applicants apply through the state's direct benefit channels, with the subsidy credited to the beneficiary's bank account.
