Overview

About SMS(SSMBBSACNPS)

The State Medical Scholarship is run by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland. It gives financial assistance to students from the state who are pursuing MBBS and allied courses, nursing, and paramedical programmes.

It is a state-level scheme with a composite benefit, meaning the support a student receives is set according to the course they are enrolled in. An MBBS candidate, a nursing student, and a paramedical trainee are all covered under this one scholarship rather than through separate schemes, and the department administers it as part of Nagaland's support for medical and allied-health education.

The scholarship is meant for students who are residents of Nagaland and have secured admission to a medical, nursing, or paramedical course through a recognised selection process. Students repeating coursework beyond the standard duration are not eligible for the additional support.
