About SASBMA
The State Agriculture Scholarship for B.Sc. & M.Sc. Agriculture is a state-level scheme of the Directorate of Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland. It supports students from the state who are studying agriculture at the degree level, and it is administered directly by the department rather than through a central ministry.
The benefit is a cash award: a monthly stipend during the course, along with a book grant to help cover study costs. The aim is to ease the financial burden on students pursuing agricultural education and to build a trained base of graduates for the state's agriculture sector.
It is meant for Nagaland-domiciled students enrolled in a B.Sc. (Agriculture) undergraduate programme or an M.Sc. (Agriculture) postgraduate programme, whether they study inside or outside the state. Applicants who are repeating their current class are not eligible, and the scholarship is not available to those already receiving a similar award.

Eligibility criteria
| A student should fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for this Scholarship | State Agriculture Scholarship will be applicable for all the inhabitants of Nagaland pursuing for B.Sc. or M.Sc. Agriculture. |
| A student should fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for this Scholarship | The applicant must be from an Institution which has a valid AISHE/UDISE code. |
| A student should fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for this Scholarship | Students who have failed in their last examination (repeaters) are not eligible to apply. |
| A student should fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for this Scholarship | Applicants must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship scheme. |
