Overview

About SCDSUK

The Scheduled Caste Dashamottar Scholarship is a post-matric scholarship for Scheduled Caste students in Uttarakhand, run by the state's Social Welfare Department. 'Dashamottar' refers to study beyond Class 10, and the scheme picks up from Class 11 onwards, so it reaches students once they move past the matriculation stage.

The department administers welfare programmes in line with Article 46 of the Constitution, which directs the state to promote the educational and economic interests of Scheduled Castes and other weaker sections. Under this scholarship a student receives cash financial assistance towards tuition and other academic expenses, reducing the chance that fees interrupt their studies.

It is meant for Scheduled Caste students domiciled in Uttarakhand who are studying from Class 11 upward. Applications are handled through the National Scholarship Portal, which the department uses to receive and verify claims. Income limits, eligible courses and award amounts are set by the department, so check the current notification and the eligibility details below before you apply.
