The educational institution first verifies the application. Physical verification is conducted by the DSWO and/or a third-party agency appointed by the government. Online verification is done at the DSWO level.

The scholarship amount is transferred directly to the eligible student’s bank account through PFMS.

About STPSS

The Scheduled Tribe Purvadasham Scholarship Scheme is a pre-matric scholarship run by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. It is aimed at Scheduled Tribe children studying in Classes 1 to 8 at recognised schools within the state.

The scheme provides financial assistance to help meet the cost of schooling for families from Scheduled Tribe communities. The aim is to help these students continue through the primary and upper-primary years without dropping out for financial reasons.

Support goes to Scheduled Tribe students enrolled as regular students in a recognised Uttarakhand school. Students apply through their own school.
