Scheme for Providing Soft Skill Training Courses to Students Studying in State Colleges(SPSSTCSSSC)
Overview
About SPSSTCSSSC
The Scheme for Providing Soft Skill Training Courses to Students Studying in State Colleges is run by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand. It gives students in the state's government colleges access to soft skill and employability training. The support is in kind, delivered as instruction and coursework rather than as a cash payment.
The training itself is provided through the Mahindra Pride Classroom, a corporate social responsibility livelihood programme of the Mahindra group that is implemented by the Naandi Foundation. Across its centres in India the programme runs structured modules, commonly 40 to 120 hours, covering spoken English, communication, life skills, aptitude, group discussion and interview preparation.
The aim is to narrow the gap between a college degree and what employers look for, by building the communication and workplace skills that academic courses often leave out. It is meant for students enrolled in the state colleges of Uttarakhand who want to strengthen their readiness for work after graduation.
