About SMB
Scholarship on Merit Basis is a state scholarship of the Department of Sanskrit Education, Government of Uttarakhand, run through Uttarakhand Sanskrit University in Haridwar. It is a merit award rather than a need-based one, open to students enrolled in the university's undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The award is decided on marks: it goes to the student who secures the highest marks in a given course, class, or subject. One student from each undergraduate and postgraduate class is selected, and the scholarship is worth the tuition fee of that class.
