Overview

About SASSECEIE

The Scheme for Award of Scholarships to School or College-Going Children of Employees/Industrial Employees in Various Establishments is a state welfare scholarship in Goa. It is run by the Department of Labour and Employment, whose Office of the Commissioner of Labour handles industrial relations and labour welfare across the state.

The scheme provides a cash scholarship towards the education of children whose parents are employed in establishments in Goa. The aim is to ease the cost of schooling and college for these families. It is meant for the school- and college-going children of employees and industrial workers, not for the workers themselves.

Because the benefit reaches the family through a parent's employment rather than through the student's institution, it works as a labour-welfare measure delivered by the state's labour machinery rather than by an education department.
