The scheme has no single all-Jharkhand application deadline published on its myScheme record; windows surface district by district. Seraikela Kharsawan's notice, for instance, ran from 26/06/2025 to 31/12/2025. Watch your own district's site, the portal's notice board and the anganwadi centre board rather than a state-wide calendar.

One date is personal and unmovable: the application for the closing Rs 20,000 grant must go in while the girl is aged 18 to 19, the bracket the Seraikela notice names for the one-time payment and the age the scheme's record fixes for that last claim. Miss it and the largest payment of the scheme is gone; no relaxation is published anywhere in the scheme's papers.

Two family tests decide most applications, and neither is an income slab. The girl must be one of her mother's first two daughters, and the scheme's official record bars any girl whose mother or father holds a permanent post in, or has retired with a pension from, central or state government or a public sector undertaking, or pays income tax. The mother certifies both facts by self-declaration attached to the application, and the eligibility rules set no rupee ceiling of the kind an income-certificate scheme tests against.

The school matters as much as the family. Coverage follows the school register: girls in Classes 8 to 12 in government schools, in schools run by the welfare departments for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, minorities and backward classes, in schools under the National Child Labour Project (NCLP), and in schools the Jharkhand government manages or aids, per the record; a girl in a fully self-financed private school sits outside that list. An orphaned girl still has a route in: her parents' death certificates and an orphan certificate from the Child Welfare Committee go into the file, and her legal guardian's documentation stands in for her parents'.

The myScheme record publishes no exclusion list for this scheme, but the eligibility conditions do the excluding in practice. A third or later daughter cannot claim, whatever her marks or need. A daughter of a taxpayer, a permanent government or PSU employee, or a pensioner of either is out even if the family income is modest. A girl enrolled outside the covered school categories has no route in under the published criteria, and the closing grant lapses for any girl who crosses the 18 to 19 age window without applying, the window the Seraikela Kharsawan notice spells out for the one-time payment.

There is no renewal procedure to run, because nothing rolls over from one class to the next. The scheme's record frames every amount as being for a girl enrolled in that particular class, so each payment is a fresh claim at its own stage, and the school enrolment certificate sits on the documents list to prove the enrolment being paid for.

The support rises as the girl climbs, which is the point: the later the class, the higher the dropout risk the payment is working against.

Every rupee is a direct cash benefit; there is no hostel place, kit or fee waiver attached. Approved amounts go to the girl's own bank or post office account through ABPS, NEFT, RTGS or PFMS once the District Social Welfare Officer clears the file, in the process the scheme's official record describes. The closing grant is the scheme's largest single payment and the only one tied to adulthood rather than a classroom, and it carries its own condition: enrolment on the Jharkhand voter list.

Whose papers you bring matters more here than in most schemes: the file is built around the mother's records. The self-declaration on the family's status comes from her, and the scheme's official record asks for Aadhaar for the girl and her mother both, alongside the girl's birth certificate and a bank or post office account in her name; the portal adds that self-attested copies of the ration card, Aadhaar card, voter card and bank passbook go with the form. Everything travels as a self-attested photocopy.

The published myScheme list runs broader than the eligibility rules' own financial test: it names an income certificate, an Antyodaya card and a SECC inclusion certificate, so carry what your Child Development Project Officer's office actually asks for rather than assuming the shorter list will do. The voter card in the portal's list matters most at the end, because the final grant is conditional on the girl being enrolled on the Jharkhand voter list.

The route the scheme wrote first is paper through the anganwadi system, not a scholarship portal. The girl, or the Anganwadi sevika on her behalf, hands the prescribed form with the self-attested copies to the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) office for her area; the Seraikela Kharsawan district administration describes exactly this handover for its blocks. The process began manual by design, with the official record noting the department's plan to move it online.

That shift has since happened around the paper route rather than instead of it. The department's own portal now carries a beneficiary login, a written procedure for filling the application online, and a parallel procedure for schools to verify applicants, on savitribaipksy.jharkhand.gov.in. To follow your application afterwards, use the portal's Track Beneficiary Status tool; the same home page publishes class-wise and district-wise beneficiary counts for each financial year from 2022-2023 to 2025-2026, so you can see disbursal actually moving in your district.

Nobody is ranked. Every eligible girl who applies is meant to be paid, and what stands between the form and the money is verification, done in person: a female supervisor at the Child Development Project office physically verifies the applicant, and the District Social Welfare Officer reviews and approves the file before payment, in the sequence the scheme's official record sets out. The portal adds a school-side check, with its own published procedure for schools to verify their applicants online.

Each slab is tied to enrolment in the class it names, so the benefit tracks the school register, not age alone. The first-two-daughters ceiling and the mother's self-declaration bind every instalment. For the final grant, the scheme's official record makes enrolment on the Jharkhand voter list, updated after 1 January of that year, a condition of payment, not a formality.
