Overview

About SVSUK

Samaaveshit Shiksha is Uttarakhand's inclusive-education programme for children with special needs, described in the scheme as Divyang children, who are enrolled in government schools from Class 1 to Class 12. The state's Department of Education runs it, and it is delivered through the Uttarakhand Sabhi Ke Liye Shiksha Parishad, the society that carries out Samagra Shiksha across the state.

Samagra Shiksha is the national integrated scheme for school education, covering pre-primary through Class 12, and inclusion for children with disabilities is one of its stated aims. Within that framework, Samaaveshit Shiksha works to give Divyang students equal access to schooling alongside their peers rather than a separate track.

The benefit is composite: it is not a single cash grant but a package of support meant to help a child with a disability attend and continue in a mainstream school.
