About SS-UK
The Saksham Scholarship is a state-level scheme run by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. It gives direct financial assistance to differently-abled students who are pursuing graduate-level studies within the state, and it is listed on myScheme, the Government of India's central scheme-discovery portal.
The scheme is meant for meritorious students with disabilities. To be considered, an applicant is a permanent resident of Uttarakhand and a certified person with a disability who is studying at the graduate level; the state fixes the income and disability thresholds that decide who qualifies. The support is paid as a cash scholarship rather than a fee waiver or an education loan.
