About RMKSS
The Rishi and Milan Khosla Scholarship Scheme is a state-level scholarship for girl students in Uttarakhand who are in the first year of a postgraduate course at a government college in the state. It is administered by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand.
The scheme is meant to encourage women to continue into higher education by easing the cost of postgraduate study. To qualify, a student must be a woman enrolled in the first year of post-graduation at a government college in Uttarakhand.
The benefit is a cash award of ₹51,000, given each year to 50 girl students studying in the state's government colleges. Because it is a state scheme, it is open only to eligible students studying within Uttarakhand.

Eligibility criteria
| The applicant (girl student) must be a resident of Uttarakhand. | |
| The girl student must be studying in a government college in Uttarakhand. | |
| The applicant must be enrolled in the first year of a postgraduate (PG) course. | |
| The applicant’s family annual income from all sources should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-. | |
| The girl student must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in graduation. |
