Overview

About RDPCKV

Riyaayati dar par Copies Ka Vitaran, which translates as the distribution of notebooks (locally called copies) at a concessional rate, is a welfare scheme run by the Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh. The help comes in kind: school notebooks supplied to eligible families at a subsidised price, not as a cash payment.

The scheme is meant for the children of construction workers registered in the state. Benefits for building and construction workers in Madhya Pradesh flow through a welfare board set up under the Building and Other Construction Workers Act, 1996, which is funded by a cess of 1 to 2 percent levied on the cost of construction. The board uses that fund to support registered workers and their families, and subsidised school supplies for their children are one part of this wider welfare package.

Because the benefit follows from the parent's registration, a family generally qualifies once the construction worker is enrolled with the state welfare board. The concessional rate, the quantity of notebooks and the classes covered are fixed by the department under its published eligibility rules, so you should confirm the current terms before applying.
