RIMC is a military boarding school in the Doon Valley, founded in 1922 and administered by the Union Ministry of Defence through the Army Training Command in Shimla. It teaches cadets from Class 8 to Class 12 and prepares them for the National Defence Academy and the Indian Naval Academy, the usual routes into a commission in the armed forces.
