Overview
About PMSFBCS
The Pre-Matric Scholarship for Backward Class Students is a Madhya Pradesh state scheme, administered by the Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It runs across the whole state and covers the pre-matriculation years of school.
The benefit is a monthly cash scholarship of varying amounts, paid into the student's bank account. The department runs it to help backward-class students stay in school and complete the pre-matriculation stage of their education.
Eligibility runs to students in Classes 6 to 10 who belong to a backward class in Madhya Pradesh, whose parents are not income-tax payers, and whose families own no more than ten acres of land. Applications are made offline through the head of the student's school, together with caste, income and other supporting documents. Confirm the current amounts, thresholds and dates before you apply.
