About PKS
The Pratibha Kiran Scholarship is a state scheme of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, run by its Department of Higher Education. It pays an annual cash scholarship to girl students from below-poverty-line families who continue into higher education after school.
The scheme is meant for girls from BPL households in the urban areas of Madhya Pradesh who have passed Class 12 and enrolled in an undergraduate course. The aim is to keep college affordable for students who have cleared the marks bar but face financial pressure at home.
Money is paid each year for the duration of study and goes directly into the student's bank account. Eligible girls register and apply through the Madhya Pradesh state scholarship portal, with the college principal verifying the claim. The residence, marks and income conditions that decide who qualifies are set by the department.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
| The applicant of the scheme should be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh. | |
| The applicant can be a resident of the urban area of MP state. | |
| The candidate of the scheme should have passed class 12th with 60% or more then. | |
| The candidate who wants to apply for the scheme should belong below the poverty line. Financial assistance under the scheme will only be provided to BPL girl students. |
