The scheme record publishes neither an opening date nor a closing date, and that blank is real rather than an omission: the Higher Education Department directs students to apply within the prescribed dates, which the portal announces session by session rather than fixing in advance. The notice board of the State Scholarship Portal is where those dates surface: for the 2024-25 session it carried 30-06-2025 as the department's last date for Scheduled Caste post-matric applications, with the instruction to make sure the application was locked before that date. Renewal candidates additionally wait for the renewal window described above, which opens only to previously approved applicants.

The anchor condition is category: the department's scheme page opens its eligibility list with the requirement that the applicant belong to the Scheduled Caste category, and the income test applies only when the student studies at a non-government institution, where the parents' or guardians' annual income may not exceed Rs 6.00 lakh. At government institutions no income figure is examined at all.

The course side is broad rather than selective. The Datia district administration describes the beneficiary as a resident of the state studying at the undergraduate, postgraduate or diploma level, and no source opened for this scheme narrows it to particular degrees within that span.

Studying outside Madhya Pradesh does not automatically shut the door either. The State Scholarship Portal tells students whose institution or course is missing from the system that out-of-state institutions are added through the office of the Commissioner, Scheduled Caste Development, at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal, so an MP-domiciled student in another state's college has a defined route in rather than a refusal.

The scheme's source record publishes no exclusion list, but the portal enforces one hard rule worth knowing before you apply: the State Scholarship Portal lists its OBC, SC and ST post-matric schemes with the notice that benefit of only one scheme is allowed. A student cannot stack this scholarship on top of another post-matric award from the same family.

Renewal is gated on last year's outcome, not merely on last year's application. A standing notice on the State Scholarship Portal states that renewal of applications is opened only for students whose applications were approved in the previous academic session. Beyond that gate, the department's page publishes no separate academic condition, such as a minimum score, for renewing students.

The award is built around fee reimbursement, and the department's own table of benefits reduces to four situations.

On top of the fee component, the same department page fixes a monthly living allowance for undergraduate and postgraduate students: Rs 300 for a non-hosteller and Rs 570 for a hosteller. The hosteller rate is easy to miss: the scheme's own myScheme entry breaks off its benefits list at the non-hosteller figure, and only the department's Hindi table carries both rates.

The published sources do not state the number of scholarships awarded each year or a maximum tenure; the guidelines describe entitlements, not a quota.

The portal asks for more than the short list in the scheme record. Registration on the Madhya Pradesh Scholarship Portal 2.0 scheme page requires a Samagra ID, the current college code, the branch code and a photograph, and the registration form itself collects the student's name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, category, gender and mobile number. The portal's required-documents line puts the Samagra ID first, ahead of the college and branch codes, and it has to exist before the scholarship form can.

The income certificate does double duty for a private-college student: the same document that clears the eligibility ceiling also decides whether the reimbursement is the full compulsory fee or half of it, because the slab boundary sits well inside the eligible income range.

Applications are online only, on the state's own system rather than a national one. The Higher Education Department instructs applicants to apply on the portal at scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in within the prescribed dates, and after approval the reimbursement is credited to the student's bank account.

The filing itself does not end at the submit button. The Khargone district administration sets out the working sequence: the application is filed on the scholarship portal on the scheduled dates each year, Scheduled Caste applications are routed through MPTAAS, the soft copy of the online application goes to the student's college, approval is made by the principal, and only after acceptance does the amount reach the student's bank account. The college is therefore a live checkpoint, not a formality; an application the institution never verifies goes nowhere.

To track a filed application, use the login on the scheme's portal page, which offers registered students a "Log in Here" route and a "Get Your Application Status" report against the same credentials used to apply. There is no separate payment tracker in the published material: money moves only after the college's approval, straight to the bank account, so an application whose status has not reached approval is also the reason a payment has not landed.

There is no merit list and no selection test in any of the published sources: the scheme is entitlement-based, and the effective selection is the verification chain the Khargone district page describes, ending with approval by the college principal before money moves. The guidelines publish no ranking rule beyond eligibility itself.

Corrections and disputes run through the district, not the portal helpdesk. The State Scholarship Portal directs students needing any modification in their application to the SC, ST or OBC district officer for the district of their institution, and notes these offices ordinarily sit in the collectorate. Institutions and courses missing from the portal are added by the line department, with out-of-state additions handled by the Commissioner, Scheduled Caste Development, Bhopal. The money itself moves as reimbursement after approval, into the student's bank account, so fees a family has already paid are recovered rather than waived at admission.

For Scheduled Caste post-matric issues, the State Scholarship Portal names a dedicated channel: cscd.bhopal@mp.gov.in, phone 0755-2661914, with the instruction not to write to any other mailbox. The MPTAAS portal runs its own Scheduled Caste helpdesk at 1800-2331-626 and helpdesk.scd@mp.gov.in.
