Overview

About PMS

The Post Metric Scholarship for OBC Students is a Madhya Pradesh scheme run by the School Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, for students from the Other Backward Classes who have passed class 10 and are continuing their studies. It provides financial assistance at the post-matriculation stage so that students from OBC families can meet the cost of education after school and stay enrolled through senior secondary classes and into college.

To qualify, a student must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh, belong to the OBC category, have passed class 10, and have an annual family income of up to Rs 3,00,000. Students within this income limit are eligible for a full scholarship, with the actual benefit depending on the institution, the course and its fee structure. Applications are made online through the Madhya Pradesh state scholarship portal.
