Post Matric College Scholarship (Scheduled Caste)(PMCSSC)
Overview
About PMCSSC
The Post Matric College Scholarship (Scheduled Caste) is a Madhya Pradesh government scheme, run by the state's Scheduled Caste welfare department and launched in 1976-77. It helps Scheduled Caste students in the state meet the cost of study beyond Class 10, at college and other post-matriculation levels, so that fees and living costs are less likely to end a student's education early.
The support is financial. It covers scholarship payments for post-matric study and fee reimbursement at recognised institutions. This stream is for college and other post-matriculation courses, not school stages. Students who live in the department's hostels with free lodging and boarding receive one-third of the subsistence allowance.
To qualify you must belong to a Scheduled Caste and study at a recognised institution, with family income up to ₹6 lakh a year. The subsistence allowance carries a tighter limit of ₹2.50 lakh; above that, students at government institutions still get full fee reimbursement. Applications are made online through the state scholarship portal, and you should confirm the current income limits, eligible courses and amounts in the scheme's official record before applying.
