Overview

About NASELGNDTDC

The New Akanksha Scheme is an educational loan run by the Gujarat Nomadic and Denotified Tribes Development Corporation (GNDTDC), a state corporation that sits under Gujarat's Social Justice and Empowerment Department. It lends money to students from Nomadic and Denotified Tribe communities so they can meet the cost of higher professional and technical courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels.

The benefit is a loan rather than a grant. The corporation advances the money and the student repays it. It is meant for graduate and postgraduate study in professional and technical fields.

Eligibility rests on belonging to one of Gujarat's Nomadic or Denotified Tribe (Vicharti and Vimukta Jati) communities, alongside the income, course and academic conditions the corporation sets. If you fall in that group and are moving into a professional or technical programme, the scheme is one route to cover fees without leaning only on a commercial bank loan.
