Overview
About MCYUK
Mukhyamantri Chhaatrvrtti Yojana is a state government scholarship for cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Uttarakhand. It is administered by the state's Department of Education, and it pays a cash incentive to cadets who qualify.
The aim is to encourage NCC cadets to stay with both their schooling and their NCC training by attaching a financial reward to continued participation. The award is paid annually and is provided at the group and unit levels around which the NCC is organised.
As a state scheme, it is meant for NCC cadets in Uttarakhand rather than for students across the country. A cadet qualifies by passing class 10 or 12 in the previous session, completing two years of NCC training with at least 80% attendance each year, and going on to higher education. The amount runs from Rs 600 to Rs 2,400, set by the cadet's division – junior or senior – and by whether the award is made at unit or group level.
