About MBPYM
The Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana (Matriculation) is a merit-based cash incentive run by the Education Department of the Government of Bihar. It rewards girl students for their result in the Class 10 (matriculation) board examination, with the stated aim of promoting education among girls and encouraging academic excellence.
The award is a one-time cash payment made directly into the student's registered bank account. Applications are handled online through Bihar's Medhasoft portal, where a student registers and then uploads her matriculation marksheet, Aadhaar card and bank account details.
To qualify, an applicant must be a girl student and a permanent resident of Bihar who has passed the Class 10 (matriculation) board examination. The scheme carries no income limit.
