About MVPMEUY
The Mukhyamantri Vyavsayik Pathyakram Margdarshan Evam Utpreran Yojana is a coaching-support scheme run by the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Government of Bihar. It gives free pre-examination coaching to students from the state's backward class (BC) and extremely backward class (EBC) communities so that cost is not the reason they skip preparing for national qualifying exams.
The benefit is in kind rather than a cash payment: the coaching itself. It targets higher-study and research-entry tests such as UGC NET, GATE, JRF, Ph.D. entrance and M.Phil., and is delivered through designated career guidance centres.
The scheme is meant for permanent residents of Bihar who belong to a backward class or extremely backward class category. Eligibility criteria
| The applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar. | |
| The applicant should belong to the Backward Class (BC) or Extremely Backward Class (EBC) categories. | |
| The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-. | |
| The applicant must meet the minimum educational qualifications required for the chosen competitive examination. | |
| Note | Applicants will appear for competitive exams under their respective courses. Selection will be based on a multiple-choice written test following the prescribed syllabus. |
