Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana(MMVPY)
Overview
About MMVPY
Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana is a state scheme run by the Minority Welfare Department of the Government of Bihar. It pays a cash incentive to students from minority communities who clear a school board examination in the first division.
The incentive is tied to results declared by the Bihar School Examination Board and the Bihar Madrasa Education Board. It covers the Matriculation, Intermediate, Fauquania and Maulvi examinations, so students on both the general school track and the madrasa track are within its scope.
Eligibility is limited to minority-community students who are residents of Bihar and who pass with first-class or first-division marks. It rewards that board result with a cash incentive.
