Overview

About MAPVMY

Mukhyamantri Atyant Pichhda Varg Medhavriti Yojana is a merit scholarship run by the Backward and Extremely Backward Class Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. It recognises students from the Extremely Backward Class (BC-I) category who pass the class 10 (Matric) examination of the Bihar School Examination Board in the first division.

The award is a one-time cash payment, made by Direct Benefit Transfer into the student's own bank account. Its purpose is specific: to reward first-division performance at the matric stage and encourage extremely backward class students to keep studying.

Eligibility is narrow. The scheme covers permanent residents of Bihar who belong to the EBC (BC-I) category and have cleared class 10 in the first division from BSEB, Patna. If you fall outside the EBC category or did not secure a first division, the scheme does not apply to you.
