Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jati Ewam Anusuchit Janjati Civil Sewa Protsahan Yojana(MMAJEAJCSPY)
Overview
About MMAJEAJCSPY
The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department of the Government of Bihar runs the Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jati Ewam Anusuchit Janjati Civil Sewa Protsahan Yojana. It gives a one-time cash incentive to SC and ST candidates from the state who clear the first stage of a civil services examination, so that money is not the reason a qualified candidate stops short of the rounds that follow.
The scheme covers two examinations: the state civil services examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), and the all-India examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The award follows a candidate clearing the preliminary paper, and is meant to help with the cost of preparing for the main examination and the interview.
Eligibility is limited to permanent residents of Bihar who belong to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe and have passed the relevant preliminary examination. Candidates already employed in a government department, public sector undertaking or state-funded institution fall outside the scheme, and the benefit can be claimed once. Applications are handled online through the department's SC/ST welfare portal.
