Overview

About MMACY

Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Chhatravas Yojana is a Bihar state scheme run by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. It supports students from notified minority communities who are studying at a recognised school, college, university or technical institution in their district and are living in a hostel run under the department.

The scheme gives hostel residents a monthly stipend to help meet the everyday cost of staying away from home while they study. It is one of several supports the department directs at minority students in its hostels, alongside a companion arrangement that provides free food grains to residents.

It targets students from economically weaker minority households, aiming to lower the cost of continuing in education and to keep minority students enrolled through school and higher studies.
